This morning I worked on a painting, but am not satisfied with it enough to put it for sale. I put aside my palette knives and decided to play with clay today. Three little escargots popped out.
When they’re dry, I’ll sand and paint them… so they will look quite a bit different in the end. I bought a different clay than what I used for the finished escargot. This one is very hard to work with – it’s too soft, so I lose much detail. I’ll see how the final product turns out to see if I’ll continue to buy this kind of clay, or return to the other type.
